What I can do for you…
To say that this weight loss has changed my life is an understatement. In 2006, I decided to help others, as I have been helped, and became a certified trainer through ACE (American Council for Exercise). I learned WHY certain things worked, and other things didn’t. I learned HOW the body functions, where it gets its energy, how it burns fat, why protein is so important, and why carbs really aren’t so bad. I travel around to meet with many different trainers, all with various methods of training, all so I can learn more and expand my own repertoire.
As YOUR personal trainer, I will pass that knowledge on to you. I will teach you how to make changes in your eating habits that will help you lose weight, without starving. In fact, oftentimes I tell clients to eat more, and more often. I will teach you how to spend an hour in the gym efficiently and effectively, so that you won’t be one of those people that goes to the gym regularly and never sees any results. I will help you identify your strengths and weaknesses. I will help you set reasonable goals for yourself, both short and long term, both in and out of the gym…. and teach you why the scale is not the “be all end all” of true success. Don’t be a slave to your body anymore. Learn what you need to do to change it and do it.
And who better to help you get there than someone that has BEEN THERE! I KNOW what it is like to be overweight, to be made fun of, stared at… I KNOW how it FEELS to be fat. I spent 10 years of my life between 230-265 pounds. I KNOW the depression, the loneliness, the hopelessness, and the stereotypes that go along with being overweight.
Overweight people are NOT lazy! They are NOT weak! And they are NOT lacking in willpower! They simply have the wrong information, and as hard as they try, with the wrong information, they can only fail. I am here to say that I have the RIGHT information. And armed with that, you can succeed, just as I have.
But, my plan is NOT for everyone… my plan is NOT for those that want fast results, or that wants to believe that true weight loss can come from a pill, or 6 minutes of a DVD you pop into a TV. My plan is for those that have tried all that, and are tired of the false claims, are tired of feeling like a failure every time you try something new, full of hope, only to find that it didn’t work. It is NOT your fault it didn’t work… You didn’t have the right information.
I KNOW what the right information is… I have BEEN THERE! I have done it… I AM the *Results Not Typical that you want to be! It’s your choice…
You can spend the next several years looking for the next new gimmick, and try them all. You can experience seemingly big results quickly, only to regain that weight and then some a few months down the road. You can blame it on yourself… “if only I had stuck to it…” “if only I had tried harder” “if only I ….” whatever….
Or you can resolve that you deserve better… that you deserve to take the time to do it right. If you do it right the first time, you only need to lose this weight ONCE. There is NO second time… Don’t you owe this to yourself? Aren’t you worth the investment? Think about how this can change things for you forever… how it can add quality not just to YOUR life, but to your loved ones, your children, etc.
